Owner's Story
My mother called every Sunday at 6 p.m., whether anything had happened or not.
Most weeks she just told me about the neighbor’s dog, the price of eggs, who was sick from church, and whether the hydrangeas were finally coming back. She lived in Delaware almost her whole life and somehow made a small state feel even smaller, in the best way.
After she died, Sunday evenings felt too quiet.
This hex is for those calls, and for the ordinary love I did not know I would miss so much.
