Owner's Story
My parents opened a small takeout place in Flushing before I was old enough to understand how tired they were.
Dinner at our house was usually late. Rice still warm in the cooker, somebody standing up to eat, my little brother half asleep at the table, and my mother asking if we had done our homework while still wearing her apron.
They missed school concerts, birthday mornings, and almost every easy thing, but they gave us a life with choices.
This photo is just dinner. Messy plates, tired faces, one more night together. That is the story I want to keep.
