Owner's Story
Our first house in Warwick was painted blue, though my husband always said it looked more gray than blue.
It had two bedrooms, a kitchen too small for holidays, and windows that rattled when the wind came off the bay. We bought it because it was what we could afford, not because it was perfect.
But that house heard first steps, bad news, birthday songs, arguments, apologies, and grandchildren running down the hall years later.
Rhode Island gave us a small house and enough room to become a family.
