On America’s 250th anniversary, the Tiki Island Community Foundation proudly secured HEX 342, making Tiki Island the first community represented on the America250 Texas map.

Founded in 2026 during the United States Semiquincentennial, the Tiki Island Community Foundation was created to preserve our history, celebrate our heritage, support our neighbors, and inspire future generations.
Tiki Island is a small waterfront community on Galveston Bay, but its spirit reaches far beyond its shores. Built by dreamers, strengthened by volunteers, protected by first responders, and enriched by generations of families, our community reflects the very best of America—neighbors helping neighbors.
Throughout our history, residents have come together in times of celebration and times of challenge. We gather for parades, patriotic ceremonies, festivals, environmental stewardship, historical preservation, and acts of service that remind us community is not measured by size, but by the willingness to care for one another.
As our nation commemorates 250 years of independence, we honor those who came before us while accepting the responsibility to leave something meaningful for those who follow.
