Beloved

I came out to my parents in 1991, in a kitchen in Birmingham, and my father did not speak to me for nine years. He died in 2007. We had reconciled by then, mostly, but not entirely, not the way I wanted. My husband and I have been together twenty-six years. This hex is for Dad. I forgave him a long time ago. I hope he forgave me too.
