DR. J.D. GEE
Educator • Leader • Lifelong Learner • Community Servant
Born in Frontenac, Kansas and rooted in the values of service, perseverance, and continuous growth, Dr. J.D. Gee devoted his life to empowering others through education, leadership, and community involvement.
Beginning his professional journey in healthcare and pharmacy, he later answered a calling to education, earning degrees from Pittsburg State University, Arkansas State University, and William Woods University. His career included eight years as a science educator before serving as principal of Lamar Middle School, where he championed school safety, student support systems, and a culture of growth.
A believer that every student deserves the opportunity to succeed, Dr. Gee led initiatives in PBIS, MTSS, inclusion, and school improvement while mentoring teachers and fostering collaborative learning communities. His work emphasized that leadership is measured not by titles, but by the positive impact made on others.
Beyond education, he served his community through emergency preparedness, firefighting, photography, and numerous civic endeavors. A certified school safety specialist and advocate for continuous improvement, he combined innovation with compassion to create environments where students and educators could thrive.
As an author, educator, and servant leader, Dr. Gee embraced a simple philosophy:
“Growth comes through hard work, perseverance, and a commitment to becoming better each day.”
His legacy is not found in buildings or titles, but in the lives he influenced, the leaders he developed, and the belief that ordinary people can accomplish extraordinary things through service, learning, and purpose.
