I’m placing this for my mother, Anne McShane.
She spent most of her life in Pennsylvania and never acted like she did anything special. But she was the one who kept our family together when things were hard. She worked, cooked, remembered every birthday, called when nobody else did, and somehow made the house feel safe even when money was tight.
After she passed, I found little notes in her kitchen drawer — grocery lists, prayer cards, names of people she meant to call. That was Mom. Always thinking about somebody else.
This hex is for her, because her name deserves to be somewhere.
